Membership Luncheons
Quarterly luncheons with guest speakers, door prizes, and the chance to reconnect with former colleagues. Except for the Scholarship Luncheon, luncheons are for REAVC members; however, members may bring up to 2 non-member guests.
Scholarship Access
Your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren become eligible for the John MacIntyre Scholarship (up to $1,500).
Legal Advocacy
REAVC has hired an attorney on your behalf and supports ongoing litigation when pension reductions or benefit changes threaten retirees.

Monthly dues are just $2 for either membership type and may be paid through VCERA payroll deduction.

Membership FAQ
Who is eligible for REAVC membership?
Any retired County of Ventura employee, special district retiree under the Board of Supervisors, or special district retiree participating in VCERA is eligible for regular membership. The spouse, widow or widower, or domestic partner of a regular member, who is receiving a VCERA pension as a beneficiary, is eligible for associate membership.
How much are membership dues?
Dues are just $2.00 per month for both regular and associate members. Most members choose to have dues deducted automatically from their VCERA retirement check for convenience.
How do I pay dues through payroll deduction?
Contact VCERA at (805) 339-4250 to authorize a deduction, or call REAVC at (805) 644-7814 and we’ll help you get set up.
What do I get for my $2/month?
Pension benefit advocacy, bi-monthly printed newsletter, membership luncheons with guest speakers, access to the John MacIntyre Scholarship for your family, legal representation in pension matters, and connection to a community of fellow Ventura County retirees.
Can I apply online?
Currently, REAVC membership requires a physical signature on the application form. Download the PDF, complete and sign it, and mail to REAVC at P.O. Box 7231, Ventura, CA 93006.
