PLEASE HELP US GET OUR PENSION ISSUE HEARD BY THE CALIFORNIA SUPREME COURT

Many of you may be aware that VCERA adopted a policy to review pension calculations of those
who retired on or after January 1, 2013. Their purpose is to determine if the pension originally calculated needs review. That review may eliminate some of the income items were included in final average compensation, based on a 2020 Supreme Court Decision.

This review will result in pension reductions for some retirees. VCERA’s estimate as of Fall 2023 was that thousands of retirees could be affected.

A petition has been filed for review by the CA Supreme Court. If you are willing to sign, please fill in the form and check the “I consent to signing this petition” box. Please help us get our pension issue heard by the California Supreme Court.
